About this policy
LovInk is a shared journaling app provided by Nelpaztel. This policy explains how information is handled when you use LovInk and this support website. For privacy questions, contact support@nelpaztel.com.
Information used by LovInk
- Journal content: journal titles, names you enter, drafts, submitted answers, and “Thinking of you” notes or affirmations.
- Sharing information: Apple-provided user identifiers, journal membership, invitations, and participant information made available through iCloud sharing. LovInk does not receive your Apple Account password.
- App settings and activity: preferences, bookmarks, reminder settings, and dates or status information needed to organize pages, show shared progress, and manage messages.
- Support correspondence: your email address and any information or attachments you choose to send us.
This information is used to provide journaling, synchronization, sharing, reminders, and support. Please avoid sending private journal content in support messages unless it is necessary for your request.
Storage and iCloud sharing
LovInk stores information on your device and uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services to synchronize supported information across your devices and with people invited to your journal. Drafts are kept separate from shared journal answers. Submitted answers are displayed together when both partners have submitted.
People with access to your shared journal can see content made available to them. Apple’s sharing controls may show participant identity information. Keep invitation links private and review who has access before sharing personal information.
Daily questions are downloaded from a public CloudKit question catalog and cached for offline use. Journal answers are not published to that public catalog.
Apple processes information to operate its services under Apple’s Privacy Policy. LovInk does not send journal content to a separate Nelpaztel journal server.
Notifications
With your permission, LovInk schedules reminders and page-ready alerts. iCloud updates help the app keep shared information and reminder status current. You can change reminder preferences in LovInk and disable notifications in your device’s Settings. Notification previews may be visible to anyone who can see your device.
Advertising and tracking
LovInk does not include advertising or third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your personal information. The app does not include a third-party analytics SDK. Apple may provide diagnostic or distribution information through its platform services according to your Apple settings.
Your choices, retention, and deletion
Journal history is retained to let you revisit past pages. Local settings and cached information remain until removed or reset. Removing the app does not necessarily remove information stored in iCloud.
The journal owner can manage participants or stop sharing using Apple’s sharing controls. Revoking access does not erase screenshots, exports, or other copies a recipient has already saved. Hiding or dismissing a note should not be treated as a guarantee of immediate deletion from every device or backup.
You can manage LovInk’s iCloud storage through your Apple Account’s iCloud settings where those controls are available. Deleting shared data may affect other participants. Contact support@nelpaztel.com for help locating deletion controls or to request deletion of support correspondence. We cannot directly access or delete your private iCloud journal on your behalf.
We retain support correspondence as needed to resolve requests and related follow-up, and for any applicable legal obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us. Apple controls retention of information and backups within its services.
Exports and external links
If you export or share a page outside LovInk, the destination app or recipient controls the resulting copy under its own practices. Links to external websites are governed by those websites’ privacy policies.
This website
These LovInk pages do not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or set cookies. Our hosting provider may process ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser details, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the website. Email support is processed by our email provider.
Children
LovInk is designed for couples and is not directed specifically to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support, contact us so we can address it.
